The Act1 Interactive Shopping Cart was built to take advantage of JavaScript and ColdFusion, combined with SQL as the database. This use of these programming languages allows anyone to customize their implementation of the cart for anything from design to additional cart functionality.

The JavaScript module of the cart keeps track of selected items from page to page as they are added to one’s shopping cart / basket. It does this using HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, and Cookies – all on the client side (browser). The database module of the cart utilizes SQL & ColdFusion to store all references to product data, image information, and pricing information. It is easily readable by novice programmers and can be changed to allow the version to be made for the cart owner's choice in administration.

When we took the core functionality of the JavaScript.Pro module and built around it to integrate with multiple other technologies and vendors, we had a multitude of options to add, like Authorize.net and UPS shipping rate servers. Since then, we have added many more features which we have listed below.
